STEP 1 – CA Common Proficiency Test (CPT)


Nature of Test
Entry level test being Objective with Negative marking
Subjects
  1. Fundamentals of Accounting (60 marks)
  2. Mercantile Laws (40 marks)
  3. General Economics (50 marks)
  4. Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)
Registration fees
Rs.6000/- ( + Form fee Rs.100)
Test held in
June and December every year
Passing requirement
Minimum 50 % i.e 100 marks out of 200 marks.
Result Date
2nd Week of July/2nd week of January
Last Date of Registration
1st April (For June)/ 1st October(For December)

STEP 2 – Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)


Nature of Exam
Written exam (7 papers of 100 marks each)

GROUP II
  1. Advanced Accounting

% aggregate

STEP 3 – Information Technology Training (ITT - 100 hours)

STEP 4 – Orientation Programme (35 hours)

STEP 6 – General Management & Communication Skills (GMCS)

Object of the Course
To equip CA’s with skills such as :
  1. General Management & Business Communication skills
  2. Presentation skills
  3. Group Discussion & Inter personal skills
  4. Legal Document preparation skills etc.

Duration
15 days (Full time)

Documents required for Registration of CA CPT :
  1. Copy of 10th Pass mark sheet, attested by CA.
  2. One colour Passport size photo.
  3. Copy of Leaving Certificate for Proof of Birth attested by CA.
  4. Demand Draft of Rs.6000/- in favour of ‘The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ payable at CHENNAI.
Documents required for Registration of CA IPCC :
  1. Demand draft of Rs.9,000/- in in favour of ‘The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ payable at CHENNAI.
  2. Attested copy of 12th pass marksheet.
  3. Attested copy of CA CPT passed marksheet.
  4. One colour passport size photograph.
